At the 5 March 2013 meeting of the Arapahoe Tea Party, we were alerted to yet another rushed bill to push something into law that is sure to rankle the electorate. In the presentation, information was shared from a study prepared by the Heritage Foundation's 2004 "Comprehensive Sex Education vs. Authentic Abstinence - A Study of Competing Curricula" white paper. (I have attached a link to this document at the end of this post.) It was suggested that if we testify, or communicate with our…

Let me address my fellow Christian Conservatives.
Have you noticed that many Conservatives blame us for political losses? I hear it all the time: “If the Christians would just shut up about social issues, we’d have a chance!” Well, they’re wrong—but not fully. Fact is, every group within Conservatism has made mistakes, and we are no different.
The problem isn’t our values, but rather our attempts to limit opposing…

In the December 7, 2012, issue of the New York Times, David Kopel wrote an opinion piece about the recent U.N. treaty that was not ratified by the United States senate. If you missed it, the treaty concerned persons with disabilities but there were some areas that bureacrats with the United Nations would fill in the details later--at least that was my understanding.
Recently there was a video of Anderson Cooper grilling Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) on the failure of the senate…

Matthew Continetti has written an article about a meeting that took place recently that was not covered by the media. It is consistent with a group of people who is discussed in the book by Adam Schrager and Tim Witwer titled "The Blueprint:..." The article simply helps draw attention to people and organizations that do not get enough attention.

We all will write much about the past election.
We must not give in or give up.
We lose when we don't stand for much.
We win when we stand for all our Principles!!

Since Tuesday's disaster, I've heard a lot of complaining. Hopeless or enraged, Republicans are proclaiming the end of all things--and everyone's got their favorite scapegoats. Well, I strongly disagree with them--all of them. Let me clear up a few misconceptions:…

I believe Mitt Romney will win this Tuesday. We’ve all worked so hard, and I’m confident it will happen.
But maybe not. This is a close election, after all.
Up until recently, I shared the opinion of many Republicans, which was, “If we lose this election, all hope is lost. Looking at the deficit or the Supreme Court or Obamacare or our borders, etc., etc., the damage of another Obama term will put our nation…

Like many Americans, I am donating to the recovery efforts for "Perfect Storm" Sandy, and I recommend we all give what we can. I also salute the actions of both presidential candidates, as each has performed well in his position under the circumstances. Their example, along with our united response, can bring hope to the Northeast.
Some estimate the damage to be around $25 Billion, though this number will likely rise. But let's look at that amount, shall we? Let's get some…

Andy and Cori Peth have just posted several very short video clips with messages of about 40 seconds to clearly articulate a conservative (generally Republican) view on select issues. The topics are: "war on women", oil companies, choice and small government, booing God, Romney vs. Obama positions on abortion.
So many people ask for a better way to message and Andy and Cori have boiled their workshop training down to these quick messages that may help with those last…

Hey Guys, lets get out the vote. Talk to your neighbors, get your family out there. Early voting is underway so it can be made really easy. Help people to find their way to voting centers if needed. If you are doing a sign waving make sure to stay at least 100' away from the front door of the polling center. If you find someone violating this then feel free to call me and we can try to get some people down there and take photos.
Lets make that last push to put us over…

This November, the voters in Arapaho, Douglas, Elbert & Lincoln counties will vote for a new District Attorney to represent them in Colorado's 18th Judicial District. This will be the first time since 1968 that the new District Attorney will not be a current employee within the D.A.'s office. Because of the intense community attention upon the single case of the Aurora theater shooting massacre, the local media has repeatedly commented on the strong possibility that the new elected D.A.…
