Hello fellow Freedom-loving patriots!
I've recently learned there are 4 school board openings for Aurora Public Schools and I would love to run, but I don't live in their district. In order to qualify, you must live in the Aurora Public school district for 12 consecutive months prior to the election. If you live in the Aurora Public School District and want to run, please see the link below which will take you to the recorded June 25th presentation they gave at the Special Board Meeting concerning the school board election openings.
Below is a rough timeline of the dates:
Aug 4th - The date you can pick up your packet of information for running for the school board.
Aug 27th - by 3 p.m. you need to submit 50 signatures of registered voters who will sign your petition. These names are verified that they live in the district as well, and are registered voters at least 18+ yrs of age. They recommend getting more than 50 signatures on your petition to account for any who are found that won't qualify.
Nov 2nd - Election for board member position
