Facebook followup to the 8-week 2011 academy:
https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150347812929810
"The course covered: Introduction to the Criminal Justice System, Victims Rights and Services, Investigations and Polygraphs, the Process of Felony and Misdemeanor case filings, the Juvenile Justice Process, the Anatomy of a Trial and Consumer Protection. Facilitators of the course’s topics were comprised of Assistant District Attorney, Leslie Hansen, Chief Deputy District Attorney’s, Investigators and Support staff of the District Attorney’s Office, 18th Judicial District."
The person who initially commented about this course stated that she had been placed on a waiting list in 2011 and was getting to take the course in 2012. Someone might find this program of interest.
Here is info on the 2012 program:

With the expected change in the District Attorney following the election, it would be good to double check the availability of this program.
