Call to Action! Planning meeting

Let's get together and decide how we as a group can be most effective in the Debt Ceiling debate. We have two weeks at the most.

Although the Chairperson, I don't have any special ideas or help. Tea Parties truly are grass roots organizations. The good part about that is we don't have to take orders from anyone. The bad news is there is no one to give us orders, so we have to figure everything out ourselves. We are no longer in the talking about policy stage - we need to organize and act.

My proposal is that we use the Freedom Works "Cut, Cap and Balance" petition to get the word out. They have 35,000 signatures already, and Sen. Mitch McConnell just signed on as a co-sponsor of the legislation. Imagine the message it would send if 1,000,000 signatures could be gathered in the next week. (Not all by us, of course, but we can influence our area) What should our goal be - 1% of the population of Arapahoe County?
