Event Description

Hello Fellow Patriots!

Now is the time to speak up and be heard. Who would like to get together this Sat. to pass out copies of an article from FreedomWorks and ask people to sign the petition? This will have a two-fold purpose. First, to raise awareness in the general population of the facts - which are not often heard in the media. Second, we could then deliver copies to the offices of all Colorado legislators - Representatives and Senators, at least those with offices in the metro area. (Unless we also have some Western slope volunteers).

I feel the current "war" we are fighting is primarily one of propaganda. The Left has done a much better job of this in the past - it's time to fight back. Most Americans realize the dire financial straits our country is in and want something done about it NOW rather than run the risk of ruining the country for future generations. An elderly gentleman I just talked to confirmed this. And when the Left talks about how the poor and middle class will be hurt, Sen. Alan Simpson logically pointed out that not solving this crisis will hurt them the most. Politicians (perhaps even some on both sides) won't want to solve this crisis, as money is how they get their power, which they desperately want to hang on to.

Recently I somehow ended up on the Huffington Post website, and ran across an idea from Warren Buffet which, although he must be getting fed IV Kool-Aid from the Left with the rest of what he was saying, seemed like a good idea. Any time Congress passes a budget with a deficit greater than a certain amount, they are all automatically not eligible for re-election.

And most Americans are smart enough to realize that just raising the taxes on the "millionaires and billionaires" will not be enough. If taxes are raised, it will be on all of us. I for one feel that we are Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Washington has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.

Last night I watched the movie, "The Alamo" in which a small group of patriots changed history by standing up to tyranny and oppression. Luckily, rather than our lives, all we have to give up is a few hours of our time. Let's roll!

After discussions with a few other members, we decided the best way to reach the most people is to work independently tomorrow. Please see recent email message for ideas on how you can best be effective and phone numbers. Good luck! Please post on here what actions you took.

Start calling your legislators today.  This will dial for you.
