Seven US states file lawsuit. Contact AG John Suthers and urge him to include COLORADO.

Seven US states filed a lawsuit Thursday to block the federal government's requirement that religious organizations offer health insurance coverage that includes free access to contraception for women.

The media wing of the Democratic Party, has been presenting this argument as if Republicans, and in particular Republican men were attempting to deny women access to contraception.  Of course this is not true.  Thinking people should be able to understand that this current discussion which includes contraception is NOT about contraception, nor is it about access to contraception, it is about the blatant attack on religious freedom by the obama administration.  The 1st Amendment protects the right to the free exercise of religion, and the obama administration is knowingly and deliberately violating the US Constitution.

The attorney generals of Texas, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma and South Carolina jointly filed the lawsuit in a Nebraska US District Court.  Two private citizens, two religious non-profit organizations and a Catholic school also joined the lawsuit against the contraception mandate, which is part of President barack obama's sweeping health care law.

The lawsuit asks a federal judge to declare the law unconstitutional and enjoin the government from enforcing the requirement.

Please contact Colorado Attorney General John Suthers, and urge him join the lawsuit so that Coloradans can continue to enjoy the freedoms protected under our Constitution.

There is merit to this case.  The 1st Amendment protects religious groups to practice their belief system with safety.  The mandates made by the federal government that make Jude-Christian organizations pay for contraception is against the law.
