In 2014 (perhaps 2013) Nancy Sharpe, Arapahoe County Commissioner, identified many things she does as a county commissioner. One of the items she stressed was the memorandum of understanding (MOU) that Arapahoe County had compiled based on the commissioners' research into the issues related to oil & gas drilling. Ms. Sharpe has now written a short column for "Energy in Depth" that has been titled "Bringing Balance to the Fracking Debate." It is recommended reading considering recent newspaper reports hyping the "anti-fractivist" efforts now in Arapahoe County.

The $1 billion cost Ms. Sharpe referenced is also mentioned in this Loveland newspaper column:

I encourage people to get to know their county commissioners and learn about the many things that they are involved in at the county and state level.
