"Conservative Meetup" has sent a meeting announcement:
When: Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Garcia's Mexican Rest., (Note the new location!)
5050 S. Syracuse Street, Denver, CO 80237
Just off I-25 and Belleview
We'll meet at Garcia's and hear about the Oil and Gas industry, the current hot topic! Join us to learn about the latest technology that is driving this industry including horizontal drilling and the myths and facts about hydraulic fracturing. Our speakers will discuss the exploration process and environmental impacts as well as how the importance of these resources is affecting our economy and how it may impact our future.
Our speakers will be Matt Lepore, an attorney with Beatty & Wozniak, who has 18 years of experience in natural resources and environmental litigation, and Patrick Holwell, who is in workforce development and serves as an economist at Arapahoe/Douglas Works, a federally-funded workforce center serving the needs of Arapahoe and Douglas counties.
Please invite your friends.
NOTE: This is a new location for our group. Garcia's is located just off I-25 and Belleview. We will have our own room and waiter. While there is no cover charge for our group, please do plan to order something to eat and drink as the group must order at least $250 worth of food/beverage for us to continue to meet there.

Observation: Last month the group had one of the representatives of the Rocky Mountain Black Tea Party in for a presentation and discussion. The group has been meeting for about a year and just recently is trying this new location which seems centrally located on the south side. Consider attending. [comment from Wilma]
Comment
This was an excellent presentation and informative program. There were several people who receive our events announcements who attended. It was good to meet Lucy Schell, who has been doing a lot of study on this topic.
Observation: Considering the interest from the attendance, this topic may be a good one to consider for a time after election season. I believe it was the economist who noted permits in Arapahoe County are increasing.
