I think I ask you this question every election but I can never find the answer when I look for it so I may not be asking it right. I want to know if the people that are running for Aurora "Council Member At Large" and Aurora Public Schools "Board Of Directors At Large" are Democrat or Republican. That matters a lot to all of us at this house but they seem to try to keep that a secret. Thank you.

The Arapahoe County GOP does not list the "Republican" candidates that I can see and I have been told the race is supposed to be nonpartisan. Please check the Arapahoe County Democrats web site for a list of their candidates. Both web sites are listed below:
http://www.arapahoerepublicans.org/
http://arapahoedems.org/2013-election
Although it is left leaning group, some helpful information can be found at the Arapahoe County League of Women Voters. They did conduct candidate forums and all candidates were invited to those forums.
I have not seen anything yet on Libertarians or other groups. Another recommendation would be to check the city web sites for their current "officers" or see if you can find web sites.
Joyce, I hope this helps.
Of course, the recommendation on Amendment 66 is "NO"!
Proposition AA is a huge taxing mechanism that goes with Amendment 64, passed in 2012. The taxes are 'supposedly' for 'the children' but the tax is about double what was discussed with the amendment 64. Proposition AA could be argued that it would be an incentive for keeping black market. The arguments in the legislature by the Democrats to tax and tax and tax were enlightening.
Does anyone have recommendations for Littleton, Englewood, Greenwood Village, etc.?
If I remember discussions from the legislature and a townhall event that Centennial offered a map of the voting areas on Amendment 64, each municipality will be setting its own statutes, fees, and taxes as well in addition to Amendment 64 and whether Proposition AA is passed or not. So keep that in mind.
Wilma, thank you so much. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your time.
Joyce, you are welcome. Thanks for the inquiry.
It would be helpful if someone would comment if they have met any of the candidates and their recommendations.
There is an article in the Aurora Sentinel on the Cherry Creek people and more:

I did see that but I am not in the cherry creek district. But thank you anyway.

Thanks so much, Wilma, this information has been very helpful.

Ruth Moore, the only thing I remember hearing regarding Jefferson County was probably for the school board while listening to Grassroots Radio on KLZ 560. The candidates who have been on for interviews have been: Williams, Witt, and Newkirk, I think were the names.
I do not remember seeing recommendations for various city positions or ballot issues. I will make an inquiry or two for a possible connection or recommendation. The meetings that are posted for October 22 and 23 would have some people from multiple counties who may have recommendations.

Does anyone know Tea Party members for the Jefferson County upcoming elections? I shudder to ask because
I am so disappointed in the Republicans...but what about the Republicans for Jefferson County?

Many thanks to John Gilchrest for pointing out this article on candidates for the Littleton Public School board:
http://www.ourcoloradonews.com/centennial/news/lps-candidates-state...
Adding one more link about school races even though it may not be much help. It does have link to candidate web sites or background.

Grassroots Radio Colorado podcasts are at the following link. They hit some of the local races and issues on Monday evening (November 4).
For any last minute voters looking for information.
Be sure to drop off your ballots. Locations are listed on the instruction sheet with the ballot.
