Documentary: "U.N. Me" by Ami Horowitz

The documentary (or docutainment a new word) "U.N. Me" by Ami Horowitz started in select theaters around the country Friday, June 1, 2012.  It is also available through some on-demand venues.

Mr. Horowitz managed to add some humor to a very serious topic of the United Nations and the corruption and other serious issues raised for just a handful of the organizations within the U.N. 

 

The movie has a PG-13 rating but I would recommend that students be accompanied by an adult because there really should be some discussion about some of the content of this movie. 

 

The movie does not focus on any of the Agenda 21 issues; rather it focuses on a big building in New York City that representatives appeared to be difficult to find to answer questions and then some of the peace-keeping actions that really should be questioned.

 

It is a good movie but if you are already concerned about the U.N. you may very well be left outraged or appalled at what is going on. 

 

The movie really should be seen.
