Do Parents Know About the Surveys the Students Have in School?

In Jefferson County, Colorado, there are serious questions about a survey known as "Make Your Voice Heard" that was given by school staff to the students.  Unlike previous surveys that were totally anonymous, this survey employed the use of the computers and student ID for completion which means that it is feasible to trace the responses to the student and therefore the household.

While many of the questions may seem quite innocuous, other questions are leading and may leave someone to think that there may be problems within the home.  So, the question should be asked, when your children respond to surveys in schools do you fully appreciate the content of the questionnaires or that these surveys are being tracked, and if tracked then who is doing the tracking and for what purpose?

Regan Benson has written an article on this survey:

The article suggested that some of the questions pertained to gun ownership.  Do you think the government is asking these questions as a means to pinpoint potential opposition to gun laws, maybe even the UN Small Arms Treaty?  I can't imagine why these types of questions (hinging on the constitutional 2nd Amendment right) would be a part of a child's school survey.

I had no idea.  Thank you for posting.  It is alarming that schools can present such surveys to children without the knowledge or consent of parents.  How do parents gain access to these surveys?  BTW, I live in Arapahoe County.  I've never heard of one of these surveys being conducted at my children's school.
