Republican Chair Leadership in Colorado...Is it time for a change?

While I realize we are not all Republican here at the Arapahoe Taxed Enough Already Party...What's everyone thinking?  I personally am convinced the reason we started the TEA party is because we have had it with the traditional political parties abandoning conservative principles; like fiscal responsibility, limited government, individual freedom and rights.  Our elected officials have repeatedly voted for what they think is "best" for us, instead of listening to us, and then representing their voting constituents.

Just a discussion here, but I'd like to know if anyone else is considering calling your Colorado State House Representative or State Senate to let them know we'd like to see a change at the top?

If you want an update on how to reach your state officials, If you reside in Arapahoe County, click the link below to look up your voter information:  http://www.arapahoevotes.com/connect/site/publicpages/VoterLookup.jsp

And then go to the Colorado website to determine how to conact your Representative via emal or phone or written correspondence:  http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite/CO-Portal/CXP/1165693060260

For those unafilliated voters, I hope you'll consider becoming affiliated before the 2012 elections so you can have a voice early on, in determining who will fill the slate on the ballot.

Theresa,

Can you outline the influence, if any, the tea party (liberty group) might have with the selection of the Arapahoe County Republican leadership?  From the caucus training, I remember there should be things that we should be paying attention to or getting involved with in the next few weeks but I do not have details on what our group should be focusing on.

It would be appropriate to have new selections in county and state republican leaders.  That was the objective to start affecting changes through the caucus in 2010.

Note for those who missed the caucus training in 2009-2010 there is a recent message on this board that links to the video segments for everything Crista Huff and Rep. Chris Holbert instructed.

Apparently Dick Wadhams has indicated that he will run for another term in his position with the state GOP even though he had indicated in at least two meetings that I am aware of from a few months ago that this was unlikely.  Guess that changed just like Rep. Tancredo's on- again off-again ties to the Republican Party.

It would certainly be helpful to see some changes.
