"Math Against Tyranny" -- Explaining the Electoral College

Dawn Hollister posted the following link to an item that was published in 1996.  The piece is titled "Math Against Tyranny" by Will Hively, which may not sound at all appealing until you realize that most everyone can undertand the concept through sports events. 

 

How the genius of James Madison with the creation of the electoral college can be compared to the 1960 World Series is something you should read.  This article may also spark some extra interest in appreciating "districting" for a variety of purposes.
