Event: Rep. Mike Coffman Attending Douglas County Republican Picnic

[Note: The following item has just been forwarded to me so there is not much notice. I apologize for being technologically challenged an cannot make the web links.]

The 2010 race is in full gear. This annual Douglas County GOP event is Woodstock for Republicans!

All of the State wide and Senate candidates will be there and available for 1:1 Q &A. I would encourage all Colorado Republicans and “Undeclared” voters concerned about the next election cycle to attend, meet the candidates and get your juices going.

Rep. Mike Coffman Attending Douglas County Republican Picnic

BREAKING NEWS: We now expect that Congressman Mike Coffman will be attending the Douglas County Republican Picnic this Saturday, September 19th, noon-4pm at its traditional location at the Wiens' Ranch.

As a result of very high interest and the Congressman's visit, we're extending the deadline to RSVP for the picnic. If you haven't already done so please RSVP as soon as possible so that we can make sure there's enough food for everyone.

NOTE: If you've already paid for your reservation or made arrangements with Pat Nohavec, it's not necessary to confirm your reservations with her.

Many candidates for statewide office will be joining us at the picnic--and we have some additions. We are expecting (in alphabetical order) candidates for governor Dan Maes, Scott McInnis, and Josh Penry; candidates for U.S. Senate Ken Buck, Ryan Frazier, Jane Norton, and Tom Wiens; candidate for Colorado Secretary of State J.J. Ament, and candidate for Colorado Tresaurer Scott Gessler. The majority of our local state representatives, state senators, and county officials will also be attending, as well as many local candidates who are running for school board in 2009 and other offices in 2010.

The picnic will feature a traditional barbeque with beef brisket, chicken, spare ribs, beans, coleslaw, potato Salad, bread, iced tea & lemonade. There will be games for children and music by the "Jon Wieland Family," a softball game, and an auction.

There will be a Dessert/Wine Basket Auction Fundraiser which, this year, we are expanding to include wine baskets or gift baskets to help with election expenses. Please help with fundraising by donating an item to the auction. Everyone that attends is invited to bring a baked good or anything else you'd be willing to donate to the auction. You don't have to bake it yourself--it doesn't even have to be food!

Invite your friends and neighbors so they too can get involved! Don't know anyone in your Douglas County Republican Party? This is a great place to get to know everyone!

For more information and to make reservations, please visit http://www.dcgop.org or contact Pat Nohavec. Be sure to make your reservations early to guarantee a spot and to take advantage of the lower price currently being offered on the website.

We look forward to seeing you there!
