The event, Candidate Search 2010, coordinated by a coalation of liberty groups, had approximately 1,000 attendees who came and listened intently as the candidates gave their various introductions, platforms, presentations, and vied for the audience's vote.  Many of you stopped by the Arapahoe Tea Party's table to ask how to become involved.  Some of you were from the nearby Douglas County areas, and I've inserted links here for you to connect with those groups in your area that share your common values. That's where you can start.  Join a like-minded group, but do more than join, GET involved!

ALSO...Go to Caucus on March 16th, 2010 7p.m.  There are resouces on the Arapahoe Tea Party home page that list the link to the State website, and it is here that you will find your precinct number if you need more information about your specific precinct.  Call your precinct leaders and district captains to ask if there is an active leader in your area. If there is not, then become one!  By downloading the Precinct Caucus Overview, 2010 - you'll know more about what to expect.  The document here is for Arapahoe County, so be sure to get this information for the County in which you reside in case there are some minor differences.  3.16.10_Caucus_2010.pdf

While listening in on a posted teleconference on the Coalition for a Conservative Majority (see link below), one of the speakers addresses the estimated time it would take in order to really make a long-term impact, and he guessed we are in this for at least 10 years!  Another caller chimed in, "We are going to have to raise a whole generation to follow us."  This speaks to the seriousness of getting involved NOW.  We can not wait and think someone else is going to do this for us.  We've abdicated our political responsibilities too long and now it's time to pay the piper.

The teleconference is on the topic of First Caucus Resolution and it's available for you to listen in 24/7 and lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour.  Go to the website and dial in and listen to the call, you'll get an idea of the type of organization that we as a state need in order to reclaim this state to it's core conservative values.

Also, if you want to be the organizer of a "Douglas County Tea Party", there's room for us all.  Just step up and start the group.  You'll find many other liberty groups willing to help you with ideas, getting started, etc.
