Event Description


Senator Mark Udall will be hosting a senate field hearing on the University of Colorado campus in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, August 15, for the purpose:  "discuss forest health issues and recent western wildfires, focusing on lessons learned that can be applied to future suppression, recovery and mitigation efforts.   The hearing will provide an opportunity for the committee to receive testimony from experts on forest health and wildfire issues."

This event is posted here because it might be of interest to watch the proceedings of a U.S. senate committee in a setting outside of Washington, D.C.  There is a "Live Webcast" link on the left side of the link above that hopefully will be available, but the hearing is only an hour plus drive away from many areas in Arapahoe County.  Perhaps an inquiry to Senator Udall's office might lead to information on whether the public can attend.
