Derrick Wilburn is actively promoting efforts and ideas to get conservatives of all colors communicating and involved. Since organizing the group now called Rocky Mountain Black Conservatives, Derrick has been speaking all over Colorado and is working to develop a national group "American Conservatives of Color." A video of an interview of Derrick by Jon Caldera for "Devil's Advocate" has just been posted and presents a starting point for the message:

Comment
This event was fairly well attended with a number of people who seemed to be new to these events.
Derrick has a new presentation and new equipment to do a power point type program. Excellent presentation of his new 5-point plan to activate Republican Elected Officials (REOs). It was also good that he brought some of his associates from Colorado Springs.
Solomon Martinez spoke briefly about the LIBRE Initiative and other hats he is wearing to reach more of the Hispanic/Latino community.
The host, Dora of Dora's Mexican Restaurant and her sister and mother, would like to get more of the Hispanic business owners involved in their quest to do something to change the trajectory of local, state, and national affairs.
Another item that was mentioned was that Democrat organizations have used the facilities for events but conservative groups do not seem to ask. Perhaps if you are aware of someone looking for a place to hold a luncheon or other event--perhaps think of these people.
One drawback for some people might be that somehow Dora did not get the liquor license renewal in on time (City of Aurora) and the hearing for reissue is not scheduled until March. Seems sort of silly but what do I know about local issues?--not much.
This event drew people from all over the metro area. It may have been medium number (45-60?) but very interested people.
Thanks, Raeleen, for posting the RSVP.
Thank you, Joyce, for the comment and I hope you and your friends will enjoy Derrick Wilburn's talk.
There will be three more people joining me.
