From Nancy Doty-Arapahoe Clerk and Recorder, MEETING TONIGHT!
Colorado Conservative Singles 50+ BUT open to all interested Conservatives. Please come!
Where: Garcia's Mexican Rest., (Note the new location!)
5050 S. Syracuse Street, Denver, CO 80237
Just off I-25 and Belleview
This will be a very exciting meeting as Ken Davis of the Rocky Mtn. Black Tea Party will be speaking about what his group is doing to reach out to minorities with the message of conservatism. The Rocky Mtn. Black Tea Party is working hard to bridge the gap between black and conservative America. Let's hear how we can all help with this important endeavor.
Ken lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Andrea and three children. He grew up in Milwaukee, WI and worked with underprivileged youth for 8 years in the inner-city. Currently, Ken is a successful American Family Insurance agent. He attends the Church for All Nations and serves on the altar prayer team and is a life group coach.
Please invite your friends. Let's all hear what other groups are doing to make Obama a one term president!
NOTE: This is a new location for our group. Garcia's is located just off I-25 and Belleview. We will have our own room and waiter. While there is no cover charge for our group, please do plan to order something to eat and drink as the group must order at least $250 worth of food/beverage for us to continue to meet there.

There were 20-25 people attending. [My count was 20 and then several others came in.] Everyone was pleased with the speaker. Besides Nancy Doty there were only two other people that I recognized from previous events and one person made reference to the idea that the group seemed more like a grassroots offshoot from the Republican party. They were interested in ideas for other speakers and most were surprised to learn that there have been as many as 200+ grassroots liberty groups identified in Colorado or there was the Independence Institute.
This might be a good group for some of the people I have met who want a group that appears more sedate than activist or wants to make additional contacts. The location is reasonably accessed from I-25 and Belleview Ave. so the 4th Wednesday might be good to keep in mind.
Also, the next Rocky Mountain Black Tea Party monthly meeting will be March 17 (Saturday) at 6:30 in Colorado Springs which might be of interest if anyone wants to put together a carpool. [note: the Arapahoe County GOP assembly is earlier that day.]

Thank you very much, Wilma. I was sorry I couldn't attend. What was the turnout like?
This was a good meeting and a good speaker. This group was trying a new venue and seemed to find the conference room and food service suitable for their needs. The group has been meeting for about a year.
