Centennial voters will also be asked to approve a city ballot issue on the city's ability to use it existing fiber optic network to provide telecommunication services to city residents and businesses. Currently Centennial (and all other local governments in Colorado) is prohibited by state law to partner with private entities to deliver telecommunication services to its constituents. This law remains as is, unless Centennial voters decide to override that law by voting on a ballot question. Centennial is asking the voters to override the state law.
Visit the city's web site here for more information on this ballot issue.
For information, call the City of Centennial's information line at 303-325-8000.
Room A at the library starting at 6:00 p.m. is scheduled for Centennial "District 4" so that may be a townhall meeting of some sort. If you are in Centennial District 4, go early and check that out.
