This is short notice but I just received an e-mail that there will be a meet and greet for Cindy Acree, District 40 Representative, tomorrow (Monday, August 23, 2010) at 5:30-7:30 p.m. at McCabe's Bistro & Pub - 6100 South Main Street - Southlands Shopping Center.
McCabe's is by the Movie Theater and the meeting will be in a separate dining room upstairs.
Keith,
Personally, I was impressed with Rep. Cindy Acree's ability to communicate the legislative workings and the budget situation for the state. Cindy had a lot to say about the issues and individuals lives and wallets being impacted by federal and state regulations; of course, comments about "insurance." She is probably the most dynamic, well informed, and communcative legislator I have met in the last year. She does not like "Obamacare." It seemed like she was working on ideas how to get medical personnel to rotate into counties where there are few to none available.
This interview published by the Denver Post may assist in shedding perspective.

Check the boundaries for this district. Many changes were made to the boundaries with redistricting and reapportionment efforts in 2011.
