Although this is a predominantly Denver Senate District, there are unincorporated areas of Arapahoe County (Holly Hills) and Glendale included in this district.
A Republican candidate was selected for this race at the mulit-county district assembly on 13 April 2012, at the Colorado Convention Center: Brandon Kelley.
