Event Description

Radio hosts, Matt Dunn and Krista Kafer, will offer their commentary on events both cultural and political.

"Another week and so much to discuss! We’ll have three terrific guests: Ben DeGrow, senior policy analyst for the Education Policy Center at the Independence Institute, will give us his take on the movie Won’t Back Down. We’ll talk about what real health care reform looks like with Nina Owcharenko, the Director of the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Health Policy Studies. It’ll be good information for when the disastrous Obamacare law is chucked into history’s dustbin (hopefully a few months from now). We’ll talk with our old friend Jimmy Sengenberger about his upcoming event at the State Capitol.

We’ll also review last week’s VP debate. In what can only be described as an angry, disrespectful and wholly inappropriate performance in Thursday night's debate, Joe Biden proved himself the veritable poster child for what's wrong with politics in America today. Shouting, flailing, sneering, interrupting and awkwardly grinning -- it makes us aware that sometimes age does not confer wisdom upon the aged.

We were impressed with the way the cool, civilized and presidential Paul Ryan stood up to the hyena tactics of his opponent.

Meanwhile, President Obama -- who oft expresses concern about the "smallness of our politics" -- decided to spend the past week laser-focused on the travails of Big Bird. Heading into the home stretch, with 23 days unto election, the President wants America to know that a vote for Obama is a vote to save Sesame Street. Big Bird, however, asked Team Obama to stop running those ads about him. No one likes to be a political puppet.

With Romney rising in the polls, recent events in Libya looking ever worse for the Administration, and the budget deficit surpassing a trillion for the fourth year, we’ve got plenty to talk about."
