I placed an order last week for a t-shirt, hat, yard sign, bumper sticker and pin. Haven't received them yet. My question is: Did you get any negative gestures or words or confrontation when you wore them out in public. I hestitate to put the bumper sticker on when i get it for fear of my car being keyed or bashed in or followed home to see where I live. Wish we could get many people to put on bumper stickers all at the same time - safety in numbers. karen hurst

All good points. I noticed a fellow volunteer that worked the Candidate Search 2010, continues to wear his badge while out. He constantly gets questions. Maybe, when we are out and about, (and look good, not when we're in our gym clothes), we could put on a professional looking name tag. We can put it out there to see if anyone has any connections to get quality name tags at a reasonable price and we could design. I know on the Tea Party Patriots, they do have a name tag that you can fill in…

I know on the Tea Party Patriots, they do have a name tag that you can fill in with your name and wear. Well this is a start, but I think we might want a more permanant one that will hold up to the wear and tear. From the way things are going, unfortunately, these things are going to be worn A LOT! This organizations founder Robert West did this technique and wore his T-shirt until it was faded. This looked rather unprofessional in my opinion. In order to get any kind of credibility with either an audience you have to at least have a few things going for you. Clean cut, well spoken and well dressed. These are Speech 101 topics covered in your first day of class or even taking an interview. If you want to get noticed you have to do something were people see you.
