On the 15 June 2012 we witnessed how the 2 candidates for President for the democrat and republican parties showed their socialist agenda. In the following website pages you can read how these men where trying to dangle the carrot that the electorate might like to consume in hope (in the words of Stalin) the useful idiots might just bite(vote) for it.

not once was the respect for Law talked about or the fact that that the office of the president is suppose to uphold that law. When you read this how many of you think that any of these candidates will truly reduce the size of the Federal Government. Just let that question linger in your mind as you see these campaigns unfold in the months ahead.Maybe there is a little socialist in all of us.
The thing I find interesting in this debate is how americans find it wrong to send these who have broken the law, in regards to being undocumented in this country, back to there country and yet we want the full element of the law applied in so many other applications i.e.drunk driving, child molesting, taxpayment enforcment, rape, murder, speeding.should our compassion and sympathies determine which law we enforce?" Let the People Think "

Fred, I just caught your "not an executive branch ..." correction.  My apology to you.  That having been said, there are MANY who DO believe immigration is merely a "social" issue, and not one that pertains to any extent of the law.  I disagree with THOSE people.  I do, however, believe that there is a significant link between illegal immigration and our nation's fiscal deficit, especially as it pertains to benefits doled out to "undocumented" residents.  Furthermore, there is probability that many of those not legally residing here vote.  That impacts all of us.

FYI, the 14th Amendment was inappropriately applied by the Supreme Court to determine citizenry.  In fact, In the Wong Kim Ark case it was taken out of context and redefined to represent something entirely different than what the original writers intended. Thus we have legislating from the bench, and a very long history of it by liberal appointed Justices.  This amendment, a favorite of all progressives, has also been hijacked for other purposes as well ... magically implying a right to privacy to condone other "social" issues such as abortion.

Keith, I appreciate your blog post.  You make good points regarding the laws and which ones ought to be upheld, or not.

Respectfully disagreeing with the other blogger's stance that issues such as immigration are "social," and thus up to the Executive Branch to decide upon ... the Executive Branch has a legal and Constitutional oath/responsibility to UPHOLD the laws, regardless of the issues at heart.  The fact is, by NOT holding illegal immigrants responsible this government is creating a greater economic hardship that unfairly favors those with no legal standing over those of us who DO.  Arguing that immigration is a social issue is no more logical than arguing pedophilia is a social issue.  This country has gone down the slippery slope, redefining the values of this nation (and laws) by declaring the only worthy ones are fiscal.  Illegal immigration impacts ALL of us, economically and fiscally.  Think about it.

Social issues like immigration depending on the stance, in my oppinion, an executive branch decision.  Ergo the courts can deal with this in time but do not get your sights set off of the conventional economic and fiscally sound positions that will determine the outcome of this electiton.  See the below link on previous court decisions.
