Note that the senator will be hosting a senate field hearing on the University of Colorado campus in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, August 15, for the purpose:  "discuss forest health issues and recent western wildfires, focusing on lessons learned that can be applied to future suppression, recovery and mitigation efforts.   The hearing will provide an opportunity for the committee to receive testimony from experts on forest health and wildfire issues."
