At the last meeting (June 7), we cut the time too close for Andy Peth's presentation "The Party of Choice" so there was no time for questions or discussion. Andy plans to attend the July 5 meeting and can answer questions then if needed. The web site is now up and contains the text of the pamphlet that was distributed. Please read through the message, check out the section "Launch Pad", and consider the petition.
One of the discussion topics for the June meeting was the Freedom Jamboree September 28 to October 2 near Kansas City, Kansas. Fredrick described it as "Woodstock for Conservatives" with a straw poll. One person expressed an interest in attending but would need some financial backing, so the Freedom Jamboree and sending a representative is still a topic for discussion for July meeting. http://arapahoeteaparty.ning.com/events/freedom-jamboree-2011
Some of the June meeting was spent discussing or recommending books that are helpful. Cathy Mitchell, our chairman, has added a category for "Books" to the "groups" section at the bottom of our web page. There are numerous books that it might be helpful to have recommendations and reviews for so please check the "Books" group.
Let us get together and discuss our ideas July 5. If you have ideas for topics, please add them to the comments section with this event announcement on the web site.
We need to be mindful of closing time for the library which is 9:00 p.m. The time reserved includes set up and storing chairs, etc.
