Help? Arapahoe tea party says TP express bus will be at capitol grounds from 5 - 7:00 pm. Just got an email from Colorado Tea Party saying it starts at 4:00 pm.Which is RIGHT time? I have invited a number of people and sure don't want them arriving an hour LATE. I would probably never get them to come to another rally!! karen hurst
The Tea Party Express web site (http://www.teapartyexpress.org/) has had the 4:00 p.m. time posted for a couple of months, which was before the rock slide on I-70 that damaged the road. A couple of the groups who have sent out e-mails have indicated 5:00 p.m. which may be allowing for the possible road delays combined with any delay leaving the rally in the morning in Grand Junction. Because of rush hour traffic and parking in the area I have been planning to arrive closer to 4:00 p.m.
Perhaps finding a radio station in Grand Junction that reports on the rally there might indicate whether the buses are running on schedule but I have not looked into that yet. I see that there is a link from the Tea Party Express web site to http://www.teapartyexpress.tv/ where it is currently showing the time since this morning's rally at Provo that might be helpful.
Here is the message I received this morning from one of the 9-12 groups that helps to explain the time but also reminds that there will be tables for petitions and information. I hope this helps.

TEA PARTY TONIGHT
Tea Party Express III Tour Welcoming Rally -- Just Vote Them Out!
Program with speakers and musical performances lasts for ~2 hours and last time they started 30 minutes late so people can arrive after 5 pm -- we'll probably be going until 7:30 pm.
There has been some confusion on start time. The bus is in Grand Junction from 10 am to noon and had originally planned on 4 hour drive to Denver, but due to huge rock slide that damaged I-70 in Glenwood Canyon and the repairs going on along that section, they'll be pressed to arrive & be set up in Denver by 5 pm. Our info tables will be up at ~4pm so there will be things to do and petitions to sign by then, plus parking will be easier. I hope to see you there!
