The American Experiment (www.american-experiment.org, www.facebook.com/TheAmericanExperiment) continues Movie Night series - What's in a Revolution, on July 21 with the French Revolution.
We start by reviewing what was happening in France leading up to their revolution. After the movie we review the take-aways on your handout. Learn how different the American and French Revolutions were, different paradigms to overcome. And of course dramatically different results - such as the Reign of Terror that has forever stamped the bloody guillotine in our minds (which the movie really emphasizes, fortunately with very fake looking blood). We also learn about the origin and purpose of the metric system. Bring your family and friends and enjoy!
While there is no charge, please RSVP.
You do not need to attend all the movie nights, but for maximum impact do come to all three.
