Meeting of Coalition for a Conservative Majority--election of officers etc.

Jack Ott has sent a notice that the Denver Chapter of the Coalition for a Conservative Majority will be meeting January 15 at 6:30 p.m. for an election of officers and to determine what the goals of the group will be for 2013.

A new slate of officers will be required to assume office.  Anyone wishing to volunteer to run for one of the  officer slots (President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer) should  forward an e-mail note a minimum of one week prior to the meeting, expressing an interest to volunteer to Secretary/Treasurer Donna Aydelott  at:

CCM has been organizing many worthwhile monthly events in recent years.  Jack also wrote:

"In the event that we do not have  volunteers to assume the expiring positions, we will then examine the  alternatives available to the Denver Chapter. These include, but are not limited  to:

1.    Amending the Chapter By-laws to remove the two-term  restriction, allowing the existing officers to remain in  office;

2.    Revising the structure and purposes/activities of CCM - Denver;

3.    Placing the Chapter in an "inactive" status with the  possibility of reactivating at some point in the future;  or,

4.    Disbanding and terminating, distributing the existing  chapter funds to current, paid up (through 2012) CCM members present at this  meeting. At this time there is slightly over $700 in the chapter's  account."
