Pitchforks and torches. Bloody guillotines. Spying. Fiat currency. Inflation. Starvation. Round-ups. Execution orders for the wealthy. All things that marked the revolution founded upon, "Liberte, Egalite, and Fraternite" (Freedom, Equality, and Fraternity). In the end, the French Revolution brought none of those desired goals. Indeed, quite the opposite.
Greg Bratton wants to tell the story of the French Revolution while drawing parallels between that bloody affair and today's political landscape. Despite over 200 years between us, the similarities in theory and thought are striking, and Greg insists we can learn a lot by taking a closer look.
