Event Description

Centennial Institute presents an event called "Issue Monday" on various topics with speakers and forums.  It is free but an RSVP directly via a form on the web page for Centennial is necessary.

Concern for the earth and responsible stewardship of natural resources need not equate to command-and-control socialism.  Any such equation, in fact, will end up harming the planet, human beings in particular.  That's the contention of Greg Walcher in his new book, "Smoking Them Out: The Theft of the Environment and How to Take It Back." Walcher headed the Colorado Department of Natural Resources under Gov. Bill Owens, and ran for Congress.  He now consults across the country as president of the Natural Resources Group.

Walcher will address an evening forum on how Americans can both achieve green goals and protect our freedom, hosted by Centennial Institute on Monday evening, November 18, at the CCU Beckman Center.

Be sure to RSVP via this web link or the phone number 303-963-3424:

There is a Google map link on that page.  Beckman Center is located closer to South Garrison and West Cedar Drive, as I recall.

Events like this are great ways to learn something for very little more than your time and a chance to meet new people.
