This is the date that is celebrated for the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, the American colonies from England. 

 

In 2012 it is 236 years since the Founders courageously pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor.  With each anniversary Americans should consider rededicating themselves to the bold endeavor of liberty and freedom from 1776.
