Event Description

Colorado state representative Brian DelGrosso has posted a message that the bills for gun control legislation have been scheduled starting at 8:00 a.m. in the Appropriations Committee hearing.  The following is the message:

Message from Brian DelGrosso (H/T Debbie Healy):

"The hurry to pass the gun legislation continues.
They have called a special 8am appropriations committee tomorrow (2/14) to hear HB-1226, HB-1228, and HB-1229.
These bills will then be heard on the house floor on 2nd reading friday, and then have a final vote to pass the house Monday."

These were the bills highlighted for hearings February 12 and 13.  Sounds like there was an amazing turnout and it really is important to keep registering objections.

List of helpful items to know before you arrive at the capitol building is available on this page because of the length:

Some of these hearings are lengthy so a bottle of water would probably be helpful.

These are not the only bills and committees working.  Many of the bills before the legislature are problematic and an attack on many liberties of all of the citizens of Colorado.  Please get informed and get involved.

For those who cannot get to the capitol, hearings are available via audio links (left side of the following web page):

Meanwhile, over in the Judiciary Committee, there will be this bill that may be of interest to a number of people with concerns about what the lawyers fees might do to businesses and others.
